PPO Definition
A PPO or Preferred Provider Organization is a health insurance plan where a network of Doctors, Hospitals and supporting providers are members of a group that provides services at a rate negotiated by the Insurance Company. It’s very similar to a wholesale environment and allows patients to visit any participating network member without the need of referrals.
